WHAT IS DASH CAM HARD-WIRING?

The Dash Cam is wired directly to the car's battery instead of the 12V socket. It will have a continuos power flow and even keep recording when the car is parked. (powered even when the ignition is off). And it meaning if someone damages your vehicle while you are not around you can see who done it.

It depends the dashcam you buy. If the recorder you purchased is equipped with a power cord, it may be equipped with a car charger, or OBD power cord, or rain sensing power cord, those are plug power method, then you can choose to use their
It also depends the function you require. If you don't care about wires dangling down and your cigarette lighter are occupied when you turn your car on, then you don't need to hard wire. If you have the opposite idea, it is not particularly difficult to choose hard wiring.
